Rev. Dr. Cathleen Narowitz (1932-2025)


Grantham, NH-Cathleen R. Narowitz, 92, of Stocker Pond Road, died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Genesis Healthcare in Lebanon, NH.

She was born in Seattle, WA on September 7, 1932 the daughter of Oscar M. and Agatha B. (Brugger) Narowitz.


In 1954 she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle and then from Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, PA in 1957.  She earned her MRE and DMin from Andover Newton Theological in Newton Center, MA and became an accredited Interim Ministry Specialist in 1998.  From 1979-2008 Cathy served 29 interims with American Baptist Churches and served the Passumpsic Community Baptist Church, Barnet, VT as Pastor for seven years and Congregational Churches in East Barnet and Barnet. From 1969-1975 she was the pastor in Danville, NH and the Union Church in East Hampstead and also served in many states totaling 16 in the US.  Cathy was part of the training staff for the Interim Ministry Network for many years. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of New London, NH.


Her partner of over 40 years, Janet Bradeen, died in 2018.  She is survived by her sister, Lois A. Brayton and a niece, Julie B. Brayton both of King City, OR.


Cathy will be interred at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle, WA with her parents, grandmother and sisters.


A hymn sing service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at The First Baptist Church, 416 Main Street, New London, NH.
