NEW LONDON, NH – Edwin “Jon” Barselle died peacefully with family and friends by his side on January 21 in New London, NH at the age of 80. He was born in Brockton, MA on October 14, 1944, to Edwin and Corinne Barselle, but he grew up in Elkins, NH.
He married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Hurd, in 1965. He owned and operated Colby Insurance Agency for over 30 years.
Jon enjoyed working in his yard, golfing, skiing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed supporting his community by serving on various non-profit boards throughout the area. Jon had one older sister, Barbara (Edmunds) Dye, who predeceased him.
He’s survived by his wife, Marilyn of New London; two sons and their wives, Mark Barselle and Kim (Gaunt) Barselle of Sunapee, and Brett Barselle and Ellen (Hoppin) Barselle of Bradford; and five grandchildren.
