Special Friends Ministry (A Ministry of Visitation) ~

The Parish Nurse pairs volunteers from our congregation with other individuals in our church community who are no longer able to be out and about but would like to maintain a connection with the church.  As a group, the Special Friends meet together formally about twice a year for discussion, education and feedback.

Meals Ministry ~

Two or three times a year, the Board of Health Ministries meets in the church kitchen to prepare a variety of meals for the church freezer.  These are then given, as the need arises, to individuals and families who are experiencing a situation such as an illness, birth or death in the family, when an easy, quick, convenient meal would be of benefit.

Prayer Shawl Ministry ~

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month to knit and/or crochet Prayer Shawls/Blankets for adults and children as well as smaller Prayer Blankets forbabies.  Instructions and supplies, as well as an instructor, are all provided at no cost.  The finished products are available for anyone in the congregation to give or receive as a symbol of love and support during a time of crisis or to celebrate a special event.  Some Baby Prayer Blankets are designated as part of an outreach ministry for Good Beginnings in Claremont, NH.

BWF Scholarships ~

Each year the Baptist Women’s Fellowship provides scholarship awards to graduating seniors and students already enrolled in a degree program.  In addition to the scholarship grants that have been provided by individual church members, the BWF has its own award program, which is dependent upon donations from the membership at large.
